Loop

Flexible collaboration in real time

Microsoft Loop is a digital collaboration tool that enables educators and students to work flexibly and dynamically in real time. Loop brings together content, tasks, and ideas in components that can be created and edited across platforms – for example, in Teams or Outlook.

Teachers can use Loop to create interactive notes, planning boards, and brainstorming tools that students can engage with during and outside of class. Loop supports continuous updates and feedback, making it especially suitable for group work, project management, and ongoing reflection.

Use the tool for:

  • Creating shareable components like lists, tasks, and notes across multiple apps.

  • Flexible real-time collaboration in and outside of class.

  • Structuring group work and project management in learning activities.

  • Continuous updates and feedback between teachers and students.

Tool features (and activities)

Collaboration

Microsoft Loop enables flexible work with notes, tasks, and ideas in shared components that can be used across platforms like Teams and Outlook. It promotes real-time collaboration and supports continuous development of content.

Integration with Teams and Outlook

Loop components can be used directly in Teams and Outlook, and integrate with other Microsoft 365 tools, making it easy to consolidate communication and collaboration in one place.

Group work

Loop is ideal for group work, where students can contribute with text, comments, and tasks in the same component. The work updates continuously and stays synchronized for all group members.

Loop in teaching

Teachers can use Loop to organize teaching activities, idea development, or reflection tasks that students work on at their own pace – individually or in groups.
