Microsoft Whiteboard is a digital collaboration tool that allows educators and students to think visually and work creatively together in real time. Whiteboard functions as an infinite canvas where participants can write, draw, insert notes, images, and shapes – both individually and collaboratively.
The tool is especially well-suited for brainstorming, idea development, group work, and lesson summarization. Educators can use Whiteboard to facilitate discussions, illustrate complex topics, or engage students in active learning.
Whiteboard can be used both synchronously – for example during online teaching via Teams – and asynchronously, where students can access and contribute to the board over time. It creates a flexible and visual learning environment where everyone can participate, regardless of location.
