The teacher replaced classroom instruction on the Envivo software program with instructional/exercise videos that were available on Brightspace throughout the semester.
Previous classes on Envivo often took place in the late afternoon and attendance was relatively low. The teacher wanted to offer a form of instruction that students could access to the extent they needed it and when they needed it.

During class | The student instructors are responsible for following up on the online teaching. This involves ensuring that students regularly upload their Envivo projects and giving them feedback on their projects. |
Students can manage their own time, as the videos are available online from the beginning of the course.
Instead of teaching a half-empty class, the student instructors can spend their time in a more constructive way and give feedback on the videos uploaded.
The videos are available throughout the semester and can also be used to prepare for exams.
Screencast programs are easy to work with, even for novice users. Remember to consider the course as a whole – topic, content and exercises.
