The students must identify possible problems to work on in connection with a company project or company collaboration. They must reflect on academic perspectives, methods and angles to be considered regarding the problem. Identification of problems may either be linked to concrete task solution in their collaboration with a company or can be used as a tool that may bridge the gap between the students’ experiences in the company collaboration or project and the academic subject they are studying.
The purpose of the exercise is to provide the students with an opportunity to identify the problems that are worth exploring in their encounter with a concrete company. The exercise provides the students with added learning which they may also bring into play in their future job. To ensure academic relevance in the exam, we recommend that the students work with the problems in their teaching activities.
You as a teacher must ask the students to formulate individually three to five problems or issues in their companies or organisations that they wish to explore in more detail. They should formulate the problems on the basis of the questions in handout 1.
